History

In 1963 Siemens Manufacturing Company was founded by John and Jim Siemens to manufacture custom control and test equipment for industrial customers. Started in a garage, within a few short years the company moved business to its current headquarters in Freeburg, Illinois. In the 1970’s, Siemens expanded its services to include printed circuit assembly, wave soldering and automatic insertion. The company manufactured transformers and magnetic devices until the early 2000’s.

In the early 1980’s, business was growing and Siemens needed additional space, leading the company to purchase a second location in New Athens, Illinois. In 1987, Siemens Manufacturing Company became the first contract assembler in the St. Louis area to introduce surface mount capabilities. In 2005 Siemens initiated lean manufacturing techniques, continuing to provide competitive domestic assembly.

Today, our team of nearly 200 employees maintains our commitment to advanced technology, innovative product manufacturing and delivering high quality solutions to our customers.
